Getting involved with shaping the future of the NDPA

Last week, we opened the second round of Community Review for an eventual version 2.3 of the National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA). The Community Review is open to A4L members to provide feedback on the proposed changes and will remain open until September 15, 2026. After this date, the NDPA Project Team will review the feedback received and address each item. Once this review is complete, there may be a few minor updates, but ultimately, we anticipate finalizing NDPA v2.3 sometime in October at which point it will be available for states around the country to adopt.

COMMUNITY REVIEW: National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) v2.3

On March 25, 2026, the North American Privacy Leadership Group (NA-P-LG) approved the National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) v2.3 for A4L Community Review. COMMUNITY REVIEW: SIF Infrastructure Specification 3.7 (global)

On November 13, 2024, the Association Board of Directors approved the SIF Infrastructure Specification (global) 3.7 for A4L Community Review.

Community Review period will be open from Tuesday, November 19 until COB ET on Monday, December 9, 2024 (inclusive).

National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA), version 2 into second Community Review

On November 28, 2023, the North American Leadership Group (NA-LG) approved the National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA), version 2, for a second A4L Community Member Review.

COMMUNITY REVIEW: Association Bylaws

Per approved organizational By-Laws, any changes to the established documents require approval by the Association Board of Directors (global) for any revisions to release them to Community membership for comment and approval. The Board have reviewed the changes and voted to release them for a 3 week review and voting period by the membership.

Community Review period will be open from Tuesday, October 10, 2023 until 12noon ET on Monday, October 30, 2023 (inclusive).

National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) – version 2, in Community Review

Community Review period will be open to members of the A4L Community from Thursday, July 20, 2023 until 5pm ET on Friday, August 11, 2023 (inclusive).

Community Review: SIF Data Model Specification (North America) 4.3

On September 9, 2022, the North American Management Board (NAMB) approved the SIF Data Model Implementation Specification (North America) 4.3 – also known as Unity – for A4L Community Review.

SIF Infrastructure Specification 3.4 goes into Community Review

On November 17, 2021, the Association Board of Directors approved the SIF Infrastructure Implementation Specification (global) 3.4 for A4L Community review.
